Planting Day 2026
Summary
See what you missed on our Planting of the Vines 2026!
Saturday was a huge milestone for Kerith House Winery! Around forty-five friends, neighbors, and staff helped us plant close to 2000 grapevines despite not optimal weather. Scott, our fabulous vintner, had everything organized. Braydon, our chief of all things outside, had the vineyard prepared including 2000 holes. The Brassinas, our consultants, came over from Northeast Georgia. On top of that we had our amazing planters! The overwhelming support of our local community once again simultaneously thrilled and humbled us. We cannot thank everyone enough!
The day started early, 7:45, in the rain. By 11:30, most vines had been planted but it was time for lunch. Beth, with the huge help of staff accountant, Mary, and volunteer, Cheryl, fed the crew a barbecue lunch topped off with Strawberry Shortcake-a well-deserved treat.
We want to give a particular shout out to Bill and Danielle Webb, up from Savannah,
who went back out to the vineyard after lunch to finish staking and putting protective sleeves on the remaining vines. By dinner time, all was DONE!
We have the best community of supporters and once again cannot thank them all enough. The only regret we have is that we never got a group picture!
Enjoy the action photos of the day!
