September Update
Summary
See what progress that has been made at the Kerith House winery, vineyard, and farm.
We have been waiting three years to get the winery going and now that construction has started, it has been at a break-neck pace!
It’s been less than a month since we put our symbolic shovels in the ground and look!
Besides the physical building, the hubs has been getting very acquainted with the vineyard itself. This photo doesn’t show the amount of work it needs. He has been amending the soil, tilling, raking, raking, and raking. Keep in mind, this acreage started as woodland. Though the big machinery took care of trees and big roots, lots of smaller roots and loads of rocks remained, thus, the raking. But take a look at that beautiful view of the North Georgia Mountains!
Another exciting bit of news is that the Airstream is finally ready for guests! We will continue improve it with guest amenities and landscaping. In fact we stained the remaining raw wood this weekend so the photos don’t do it justice. Come enjoy the farm and Blue Ridge soon!
In other news, as Georgia Grown vendors, we got to take part in the First Lady’s Pet Adoption Day and Georgia Grown Market at the Governor’s Mansion! It was a great experience getting to meet so many other entrepreneurs. There was a wide range of people who have come up with unique products made from Georgia agriculture and I am really proud to be part of that. Did Mrs. Kemp buy some Roasted Garlic and Wine Drizzle? Why yes, she did. To be fair, I think she bought something from all of the vendors but still.
Speaking of Drizzle, we have finally finished our rebranding which includes new labels on all of our products and fabric that soon will be made into products for purchase. We wanted to give our market customers a taste of what they will get at Kerith House- a touch of English countryside.
