DESCRIPTION:Ray began playing at the age of 7 years old when his father and mother handed him a guitar and taught him all the basic chords to play a song on his own. Motivated by encouragement from his parents\, he soon joined his first band in his early teens. Ray is a guitarist/singer/songwriter proficient in Country music\, and moved on to Rock and Roll\, Folk\, Gospel\, and Christian Contemporary. Ray has performed in many venues such as lounges\, restaurants and cafes and has sung at weddings and lead music in many churches. In the early 80s he began writing his own material\, and went on to record some singles records and performed on a local television program in Detroit\, MI. Ray’s instrumental\, “Train to Glory” landed him first place at the 1999 MARS MUSIC Acoustic Guitar Contest in Fort Lauderdale\, FL. Ray went on to record two albums of his own original material. He currently performs “Classic Rock”\, a few Country Tunes and some Mandolin instrumentals in local restaurants. Ray is married and has four children and four grandchildren\, he currently resides with his wife Ann in North Georgia.

DESCRIPTION:Philip John Brooks\, singer/songwriter/ guitarist\, delights audiences with renditions of oldies but goodies\, jazz standards\, bluegrass\, country standards\, blues\, and his original compositions from band albums and solo CD’s. Just when you think you have his style pegged\, he surprises with a unique twist. \nThe professional music scene in Great Britain\, Europe\, and the U.S. has been his niche for the past few decades. He takes great pride in appealing to diverse audiences while attaining the highest level of professionalism. \nMusic has always been the backdrop of his life. At age 13\, he was the lead guitarist in his first band\, The Broadways in Blackpool\, England. By 15\, he was recording in Decca Studios in London. He continued to gain musical experience through the years in Cabaret\, Musical Stage Productions\, an Irish Showband\, a well known London Country Rock Band\, a Las Vegas Showband\, and writing music for TV and for Computer Software Programs. \n\n\n\n\nGrowing up on the far Northwest coast of England\, he experienced a unique view of life. He learned the dangers and trials of trawler fishing from his father & fishermen around the home hearth. It is from his heart and soul that he writes of these men and the places and events remembered from those times in his first solo CD\, “Fishermen of Fleetwood”.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHe is enthralled by the unique history of the various geographical regions of the U.S. especially the Southwest and the Southeast. By unlocking the provocative nature of history\, Brooks pens songs about people\, places and events…songs capable of breathing life into long forgotten heroes and their special dances with life. These songs populate his lastest solo CD’s. \nIt is the melding of his songs\, his guitar virtuosity\, his ever changing vast repertoire and his professionalism that allow him to captivate and entertain. He draws in his audience with his exceptional musical talent and his soft English accent.
